Christian Recovery Centers Community Food Bank

The Christian Recovery Centers Community Food Bank is a ministry and a testament to the transformative power of service. Established in September 2024, our food bank is operated by men in our recovery program, giving them a unique opportunity to give back to the very community that supports them. This initiative helps us fight hunger in Laurens County and surrounding areas, all while fostering compassion, responsibility, and a sense of purpose in our residents.

Our Mission in Action

Our Purpose

We are committed to providing nourishment and hope to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Our mission is to:

  • Provide Nourishment – We offer dignified food assistance to those in need.
  • Encourage Community – We build bridges between local churches, businesses, and organizations.
  • Foster Purpose – We engage our residents in meaningful service as a key part of their recovery journey.

Our Impact

Since its founding, the food bank has grown rapidly, serving hundreds of individuals and families each month through regular food distribution events, holiday outreach programs, and emergency assistance. These monthly food drives are more than just a place to get food; they are community gatherings filled with prayer, fellowship, and love. Our events show our neighbors that they are not alone.

How We Serve

We rely on the generosity of our community to continue our mission.

  • Donations – We accept non-perishable food, monetary gifts, and grocery store gift cards from local businesses, churches, and individuals.
  • Sorting & Packing – Our residents and volunteers work together to organize and prepare items for distribution.
  • Distribution – Food is distributed through scheduled events and emergency requests.
  • Spiritual Support – Every event provides opportunities for prayer, fellowship, and connection.
